Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • ¼ onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 (10-oz) can diced tomatoes with green chiles
  • 1½ Tbsp taco seasoning mix
  • ¼ cup water
  • ½ cup shredded Mexican blend cheese
  • ½ head romaine lettuce, shredded
  • 1 avocado, sliced

Instructions

  1. Cook beef, onion, and garlic in a large skillet over medium-high heat until browned and crumbly; drain and return to skillet.
  2. Add tomatoes, taco seasoning, and water; reduce heat to medium-low. Cook 5 minutes or until slightly thickened and thoroughly heated. Remove from heat. Sprinkle with cheese; cover and let stand 2 minutes or until melted.
  3. Serve beef mixture over lettuce, and top with avocado.

  • 31½ (1.1-oz) bags taco flavored tortilla style protein chips 

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Serve chips with salad.
